Palma de Mallorca
Palma, also called „Ciutat de Mallorca“ (City of Mallorca)
is the Capital of Mallorca. With its roughly 400.000 inhabitants
it accommodates about ¾ of the whole islands population.
Known for its beautiful beaches and rich culture Palma attracts
over 15 Mio. tourists per year.
There’s a lively cultural scene, also due to the many immigrants
from mostly England and Germany. During the summer Palma offers
various possibilities to enjoy free concerts and entertainment.
Also does Palma, either in the city centre or right at the beach
front, offer an almost uncountable variety of little shops, cafes
and restaurants which definitely make living enjoyable and worthwhile.

Safetey
As for “safety” Palm does not differ from any other
European capital. But even though there are almost no street crimes,
pickpockets like to emerge especially in the summer time. So, when
strolling through crowded places always keep an eye on your wallet,
watch or other objects of value. |
