Volley World Tour 2008
 The
“Federation Internationale de Volleyball” World Tour
accounts for the top level tournament series of Beach Volleyball.
The World Tour is a highly popular and well promoted professional
competition that has a world-wide presence under the auspices of
the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB). All such events
achieve massive television coverage and attract the world's best
Beach Volleyball athletes, both male and female.
Only by participating in this series outstanding players from all
over the world can qualify themselves for the 2008 Olympic Games
in Beijing.
From initially 4 tournaments, in 1991/1992, the FIVB Tour has grown
to over 27 events in 2008. Besides the approximately over 500.000
spectators who follow the games live every year, the World Tour
is also being broadcasted to a worldwide audience.
